Current construction information, notifications of upcoming work, including navigational warnings (NAVWARNS) for marine users and businesses located along the Fraser River near the Project area, will be posted to this page throughout the construction of the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project.
The piles for bridge foundation construction have been fabricated, and subject to final permitting, in-river work on the bridge tower foundation will start in February. This work will include intermittent pile driving. In-river pile driving will not take place from March to mid-June, in accordance with anticipated Fisheries and Oceans Canada requirements, to minimize impact to fish and fish habitat.
Other construction activities in 2021 include site preparation, utility relocations and construction of the on-land bridge foundations in New Westminster and Surrey. Additional in-river bridge foundation construction will resume this summer.
