Pile installation is complete for the two in-river foundations. Construction continues on the main tower of the new bridge and the in-river foundation near the New Westminster shoreline.
In New Westminster, pile installation is complete and construction is underway on both of the main bridge foundations. Site preparation activities continue and work is underway on the Royal Avenue overpass rehabilitation. Upcoming activities include McBride Boulevard and East Columbia Street intersection improvements, and work along Columbia Street in the bridgehead area.
In Surrey, construction is underway on all bridge foundations and pile installation is underway for the Highway 17 off-ramp foundations. Upcoming activities include continued construction of the main bridge foundations and ongoing site preparation and road work along 112 Avenue and Highway 17.

New Westminster
Starting on Monday, March 20, Fraser Crossing Partners will be conducting additional utility work on Agnes Street between 1st Street and Dufferin Street, as well as on Hastings Street south of Agnes Street. This work will take approximately two weeks to complete.
To complete this work, traffic will be shifted to create space for crews to excavate the utilities underneath the existing roadway. Traffic in both directions on Agnes Street and Hastings Street will be maintained at all times. Temporary parking restrictions will be in place on both sides of Agnes Street and the east side of Hastings Street.

To minimize traffic impacts, the northbound slow-lane closure will take place on some weekends and weeknights starting November 8 and continuing for approximately one month, during active pile driving work.

On Saturday, July 9, Fraser Crossing Partners conduct a continuous 12-hour concrete pour to complete the pile cap for the on-land bridge foundation in New Westminster that is north of Columbia Street. Starting early in the morning, during the coolest part of the day, and working continuously ensures the structural integrity of this foundation.
Nearby residents may hear noise from concrete trucks and heavy equipment starting at 6:00 a.m. while work is underway. Concrete trucks will access the work area north of Columbia Street via McBride Boulevard.
