Pile installation is complete for the two in-river foundations. Construction continues on the main tower of the new bridge and the in-river foundation near the New Westminster shoreline.

In New Westminster, construction is underway on the bridge foundations. Utility relocation work is underway along Columbia Street in the bridgehead area. For more information about the work on Columbia, please click here.

In Surrey, construction is underway on all main bridge and Highway 17 off-ramp foundations. Pile installation is underway for the Old Yale Road overpass. The majority of the piling will take place during the day; however, due to the proximity of some of the foundations to active roadways, lane closures will be required to support this work. Some piling will occur until 10 p.m. when traffic volumes are lower and lane closures can be implemented. Other activities include site preparation and road work along 112 Avenue and Highway 17.
