Starting April 17, the left turn from Memorial Drive to McBride Boulevard southbound (towards the Pattullo Bridge) will be temporarily restricted on weekdays between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. This left turn restriction will be in effect while the current Columbia Street closure is in place.
These deliveries are being done at night to minimize the impacts to the travelling public and the activities involved are not anticipated to be noisy.

Starting the week of April 8, crews will begin delivering steel girders to the work site adjacent to McBride Boulevard and Columbia Street. These steel girders will be lifted into place during the current full closure of Columbia Street.
Approximately 14 nighttime deliveries will take place within a three-week period. When deliveries are scheduled to occur, there will be intermittent stoppages on E. Columbia Street and McBride Boulevard between midnight and 5 a.m. for crews to pull into the work site. Two additional steel components will also need to be delivered across all four lanes of the Bridge Connector requiring stoppages of traffic for approximately 10 minutes each to access the work area adjacent to the northbound lanes.

On Wednesday, March 27 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., two new utility poles will be installed on Royal Avenue between Bushby Street and Leopold Place as part of the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project.
While this work is underway, access both in and out of Bushby Street will be restricted. Local residents will be redirected to Leopold Place where access in and out will be maintained. Temporary no parking will also be in effect on the west side of Bushby Street both Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained along Royal Avenue.

Starting on Tuesday, April 2, Fraser Crossing Partners will implement a one-month full closure of Columbia Street and the Central Valley Greenway between McBride Boulevard and Elliot Street. This closure is required for crews to lift steel girders over the roadway between the bridge foundations on either side of Columbia Street.
While this closure is in effect, drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists will be detoured to Royal Avenue. Front Street will be open to regular traffic and trucks, and trucks will continue to use official truck routes (including observing applicable time restrictions).

On Thursday, February 29, Fraser Crossing Partners will be installing an improved crosswalk beacon at the Royal Avenue on-ramp pedestrian crossing.
This new beacon will improve visibility for drivers and provide a safer crossing for pedestrians and cyclists.
To complete this work, the Royal Avenue on-ramp will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 p.m. Drivers will be directed to use the Columbia Street loop-ramp via McBride Boulevard.
An additional closure of the Royal Avenue on-ramp on Friday, March 1 may be required to complete the installation.
