Bridge Opening

Home Construction Bridge Opening

The stal̕əw̓asəm (Riverview) Bridge is open. People travelling from New Westminster can access the bridge via McBride Boulevard and the new Royal Avenue on-ramp. People travelling from Surrey can access the bridge from King George Boulevard and Scott Road.

Bridge Opening in New Westminster

The new Columbia Street on-ramp will open in summer 2026, as it cannot be completed until sections of the connecting roadways and the Pattullo Bridge have been removed. Learn more about upcoming construction activities in New Westminster

Parts of the Pattullo Bridge must be removed to complete on-ramp construction for the new bridge.
Multi-use paths as well as Columbia Street on-ramp will be completed after the Pattullo Bridge is partially removed.

Bridge Opening in Surrey

The new Highway 17 off-ramp will open in summer 2026, as it cannot be completed until the Pattullo Bridge has been partially removed. Learn more about upcoming construction activities in Surrey
